DIY Jewelry box Tutorial

Hello everyone! I’ve needed a new jewelry box for a while, but I didn’t find one that I really liked. So I decided to make my own with a cute geometric pattern! Here it’s the tutorial. I hope you like it!

Step 1



Materials:
You will need:
*Acrylic paint
*Brushes
*A wooden box
* Varnish
* Pencils (one B and one HB)
* A black Sharpie ( regular one)
* A small ruler
* And finally your geometric pattern. I did mine using InDesign and printing it.

Step 2



Use your HB pencil and turn your pattern. Color the area where the pattern is.

Step 3



Once you got you stencil ready you’ll need some tape. I like this Scotch one that isn’t too sticky. That way you won’t have glue over you box.

Step 4



Once you put your stencil and taped it to the wooden box, you’ll need your H pencil and a ruler. Trace the pattern with a nicely sharpened pencil. Remove the stencil when you’re done.

Step 5



Paint the triangles with the colors you’ve chosen. Then when they are all dry use the Sharpie to trace the lines. Finally use some varnish to give it a nice finish. Enjoy your new cute box!!!

I've recently joined Postcrossing! I love it! I've already received 6 postcards! From Russia, Netherlands, Taiwan, Germany...

I've always been a fan of mail and postcards. When my mom goes on vacation, she will ask what I want and I will tell her "Send me a postcard" :)
So I have a lot of postcards and cards from my family in Mexico, from some friends in Canada, and some other from my Spanish friends (Specially Bego)

This free printable is a postcard, cards separator. I made them to organize my postcards.

My workshop

I've been meaning to upload some pics of my workshop for a while.

Amigurumi

I've been a bit busy lately. Since the last market I haven't been creating much and I don't like that! I also wanted to start searching for new stuff and techniques.

Last friday my Friend Daniel and I went to IFIL and we did an AMIGURUMI class.

It was great!!! I had so much fun!

We had a great teacher so here you can see her blog! Lady Crochet

We did a cute fish in our first class, now I'm working in something special! :D

I love my new fabric!

While I was in Mexico I went fabric shopping. I also bought some fabric @ Texas.

Here are some combinations I'm working on for the Spring/Summer Collection.

There will be another flea market soon! April the 30th. Mon Carrousel and I might be

selling our creations there! I'll post some photos of the new purses ASAP!

Something different for today :)

Today I had to hand in a project I've been working on. Then I had my regular 2nd & 4th graders classes... they didn't behave... When I was done with my classes I went downtown for a little while. I wanted to buy something, there are sales and I thought it was a great idea, but it was soooooooooooooooooo crowded!

I did buy some cute shoes though :)

When I got home I needed to do something... so after thinking for a bit I decided I wanted to do necklaces! These ones are my favorites!

They are made with 100% natural hemp cord and semiprecious stones (that I bought in Mexico when I went visiting my parents). I hope you like them!

So, my friend Bego and I discovered a wonderful place where you can buy yarn and knitting material; they also have amigurumi and knitting clases.

I'm looking forward to those amigurumi classes!!!
